those are cool cars. just be prepared to pay out the ass for parts and service.

 

Careful of the cams on those models. Cam-breakage is an issue on older 740s. There was something else about the turbo Volvos but I can't recall... It's been a while since I stopped dating my Volvo-obsessed exgirlfriend.

 

Did they come in stick?

I remember seeing somewhere there's a conversion kit to put a Chevy small block in an old Volvo 7-series.

 

Yep. Used the M46 manual

 

LBCornhusker use to post on here and he used to have one....personally I have always liked em but the cost of parts and service is a little on the high side

 

my friend drove a 940turbo (9something) ... it was pretty cool

 

I miss my volvo 240 station wagon..:sad: thing was a ****in tank...300,000 miles with only one new clutch, and regular maintenence....too bad the body rusted off before the motor went out....but hell it was in the family for 15 years so I think it paid its dues
