One more reason I hate I-81
i travel on i-81 for a little bit when i go visit allison.. i take 83n to 581 to 81. i hate that 8 mile section where the speed limit is 55, and the stupid message sign things that put out a k band and make my radar detector go crazy

I'm the one in the left lane going 10-15mph over
I like I-81 it's fast, and the times I go no traffic. You should have stopped by I'm about 10 minutes from Lebanon

I hate it! Last time I was headed up to Connecticut with my girlfriend, the crazy 81 fog was really heavy, which led to the first accident we passed, then we sat still for 2 hours because of a 19 car accident around Hazleton, after which all 81 traffic was routed through back roads. A 4-4.5 hour trip became 8.5 hours!
That, and the one accident that happened in the Carlisle area last year where the car crossed the median and was destroyed by an oncoming tractor trailer killed three students from my school and left one in very bad shape, but she survived. I knew two of the ones that died. Scary stuff. Only a few days later the same thing happened to someone else and they finally lowered the speed limit, which is that stretch of 55 mph that was complained about. People still drive like a-holes.
Oh, and if you want to see why they reduced the speed limit to 55, go here: http://www.cumberlink.com/articles/2...ews/news02.txt and look at the picture at the top. They reduced it because that has happened too many times now.
