Nope piston rings were the beginning in 1928 he opened a branch of the Art Shokai Company in Hamamatsu.

Did you know he was also kicked out of college for not taking exams and his proffessor later said the Soichiro Honda was one of his "biggest educational failures"? h:

In 1946 Honda opened the Yamashita factory where he began production of "auxiliary bicycle engines" after founding the Honda Technical research Institute.

In 1948 Soichiro Honda converts the Honda Technical Research Institute into a corporation with a capitol of 1 million yen and renames it Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

little known fact: he sold piston rings to toyota

I heard a bit of information one time that most NASCAR engine builders use a Honda product in their engines. What it is, I don't know, but I've heard this before...

good for u im only in 8th grade not 1o th.. plus i did do research but my school computers are junk!! hfawk: :jlammy:

You should still know by that age to do your own research. I didn't read the book in 10th grade for any project, I read it for enjoyment. I was making a point I guess.

And this was a book, with real paper pages, not on the internet.
