ok, right now im on DSL. no router, but my computer is connected straight into the DSL modem. i have a router set up already, but i just need to set up the numbers.
can someone run me through it. :rick: helped me before...buts he not online to bother :exnbp:

Then you;ll need to connect to your router, set it up to connect via PPPoE, put in your username and password into the router (I usually set a idle-disconnect time of about 1~2 days), unplug the power from your DSL modem, plug the router inbetween the modem and the computer with proper connections, setup a new broadband connection in your network control panel to find the network via DHCP, turn your modem back on, and hope your ISP doesn't do MAC logging.

i remember logging into the router and setting all that up already. i had the router in before. but took it off because i needed support from yahoo. then settings were changed and the router doesnt work now.
oh well.
