Windows XP startup question
before my computer would startup really quick after i typed in the password for my username,..now it takes awhile,..anyone know what i can do to have my startup go faster?

Tell us what's in your MSCONFIG startup group. Perhaps we can help eliminate things that you don't need.
(Start + Run, then type msconfig and look under the Startup tab.)
You could also try running a registry cleaner. It's possible that your system has slowed because it's looking for registry items that are no longer relevant but a sloppy uninstall routine has left registry entries.
You could also try running an antispyware programme, just in case you have items that are looking for an Internet connection before one is available. That'll slow things down, too.
Good luck. I know things like this can be irritating and distracting to a perfectionist.
