Default MAINT REQD light keeps flashing, NEED HELP!!

just today when i started up my car for lunch, i noticed that after it started and was idling, my "maint reqd" light started flashing. I turned off the car and turned it back on and the same thing occured, totaling with 10 flashes everytime. Now whenever i start up my car, it does the same exact thing, flashing 10 times. When i bought the car a month ago, i changed out the basic tune-up things (fuel filt, oil, oil filt, thermo... ect) . What do you think could be the problem and has anyone seen this? new to integras, so im kinda clueless.

-its a 94 integra RS btw ThanksInAdvance

Man, use the search button.

Anyway, under your steering wheel right at the point where your lower dash ends, there's a small rectangular button.

Put the key in (all the way off), press and hold the button in, while holding the button in turn the key to the accessory mode and wait for the light to flash and go off.

Then turn the key to off, and when you turn your key on from then on - it will be gone.

it's factory set to go on after you hit so many miles as a reminder to service the vehicle.

searching would have given you the answer to WHY also.

like black said, its set by the factory to remind to you to change your oil. i believe it comes on every 7500 miles in the integras.

When it's flashing like that, your engine's likely doing some nasty misfires.
