Default Runners....

Ok so i'm pretty much running every other day now and I was wondering if there was any tools or something that could help me tell how many miles I'm running? I have this sportmaster thing from Big 5 but the damn thing is so damn in acruate that it's worthless. I run about the same distance which is about 3 miles and I want to make sure that's how far I'm actually going.

Also is it safe to run every day for the same distance? I'm seriously trying too loose the weight I want too loose which is another 20 or so pounds. I'm at 190 right now. I know I've asked this before but do supplements work? I'm thinking of going to GNC this week after I get paid and get something that will help me loose weight and gain more muscle mass in my arms. Thanks in advance.

ok, my dad runs, so i know a few stuff...first, he used his car to see how many miles he'd run, he'd just drive the distance he ran..simple..then to lose weight run about the same distance for a week, then increase it a little, not a lot..maybe a mile or half a mile..repeat that for a while then you'll be in good shape to do maraothon's and shiz

eh, alternate distances.. like, run distance one day, then do sprints the next.. and take a day off.. run around the park or your area or somethin, use ur car to gauge distances.. or use a pedometer to get an idea .. i wouldnt focus too much on distance, more so the time you run, and how hard you run.

:werd: I always just use my car to guage the distance....its more accurate than a pedometer anyway.

Does it really matter how many MILES u run? Unless u really really want to know I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep increasing the distance and run until u are very tired but not exhasuted. Are u a woman? Whats wrong with 190lbs? how tall are you. I'm 5,11 and I would like to gain weight and weigh 190lbs.

Screw the pills just eat healthy and work out with weights to gain muscle. U can one run a day and lift a day. You can lift weights every day as long as u don't work the same muscles two days in a row. Thats bad. When u lift weights ur muscles tear and then they have to repair themselves and thus get bigger. If u don't give them time to repair u won't gain muscle/.

My friend is a runner, and he has this GPS thing he wears around his wrist. It tracks your path, elevation, mileage and speed. It also beeps to tell you if you're going too slow or too fast, so you're always going at a constant pace, which could help you push yourself.

I'm 5'7 and I consider myself fat. A lot of people around me don't think I am but I am always telling myself that I'm fat so I belive it. For my height I should be at least 170-180. I can't seem too loose the weight right now though it sucks. And no I'm not a female. I'm going to start lifting though to gain some muscle. I think i'm going to start lifting while running too get some more exercise and more stamina. I just feel like I'm not progressing at all.

What would that GPS thing be called and how much does it cost and where could I possibly buy one?

The distance I'm going now which is I believe about 3 miles is hella far for me. I'm worn the hell out as it is but I think I'm going to push my distance tomorrow and see how I do. I know my legs are starting to feel it. That's for damn sure.

keep 3 miles for a while, and pay attention to your legs and knees, if they feel extra sore, ice them up when your done, then heat them up after icing them.
