Default email problems, need help

So I finally registered www.domsworkshop.com, and I set up my POP3 mail account in Outlook Express to work with my regular email.

With the new email account, I can receive messages, but I can't send anything. I get this error:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop.1and1.com', Server: 'smtp.1and1.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

:dunno:

Most likely they have the firewall on their SMTP mail server set to drop rejected requests rather than return them. Really shitty policy for a service provider, as it makes troubleshooting twice as hard for the end user.

Means you'll time out the connection instead of getting a rejection notice.
