Default Test drove a new WRX tonight...

And to be honest, I really wasn't that impressed. It was a nice new vehicle but it really wasn't the power experience I was expecting.

Was it a new one or a used one? If new, I kind of know where you're coming from. When I first drove my brother's '04 WRX, it really wasn't all that impressive to me. But I don't know if they get faster or if my expectations steadily decreased because in time, it started feeling really quick. Anyone know if the ecu starts "learning"?

umm lets face it. it's not a fast car
and it's not a great handling car
nor is it a luxury car.

it's a decently fast, okay handling econo box.

umm, have you driven a DOHC vtec honda. i'd rather wait till 3k rpm for boost than the 4,800 for VTEC on my H22. most of this is due to the catted uppipe which should be high on the list of first mods.

hmm try telling that to all the former/soon to be former honda owners who own/want to own a WRX.

how can you say 14.5s 1/4 mile stock is not fast?? umm, i can think of an S2000 or a V6 speed coupe or an NSX that do that which all cost more than a WRX. for under $25K it is the second fastest car on the market right now, 1st would be the SRT-4.
