Is it possible to apply for a work visa yourself, without having a company do it for you?

 

Well since I was fired and not laid off I can't collect unemployment... so that means getting another job... fast. I have about 2-3 weeks before I'll have to move back in with mom.

 

What was your reason for getting fired?
I know in Jersey even if you're fired... you can still get UE.. you just have to wait 6 weeks.
That's what happened to me last year.. I went against the non-compete.. got fired.. and had to wait 6 weeks. But I could still collect

 

Violations of company policy. They didn't approve of some software I was using on my computer.
