Default Aftermarket Sunroof?

Anyone done one of these before? i really want one for my car.. just alittle concerned about leaks ect.

There is 1 place around me that does it for a grand that seems a bit much to me? any feed back is good

i have an aftermarket sunroof on my 97,..installed it myself with a friend,.ill NEVER do it again,..scary cutting up your roof :happysad: but anyways,..i forget how long its been,..close to 3 years i think? no leaks whatsoever ,..if you have a shop do it,..make sure they warranty it

I hate those things, they're a car disease worse then rust. They tend to damage the car's resale value, too.

ya i know the local junk hard has a couple with the whole roof intact... maybe i'll just slice and dice

My car had an aftermarket sunroof on it when I bought it. I owned the car for about a year when it broke. I don't know how long it had been on there for, but it was a POS. Don't get one...trust me.

I know a guy that does that for a living, he gets contracted by a lot of dealerships to install them on new cars for customers. Just make sure you find a reputable shop.

I personally wouldn't do it again. I had a standard flip put on my chevy cavalier back in the day. It worked well for 5 yrs, then had a little bit of moisture. I would never want to cut into my Honda though. OEM roofs are the way to go IMO.

ya but its alittle late for an OEM one when i already own the car.. there are a few higly recommended places around me but at the cost of around a grand
