They're good motors to throw in and forget about it if you want to hold your own on the street while saving a few bucks. If you plan on building some n/a monster or turbo setup, you have to address the weak cylinder sleeves and/or mediocre rod/stroke ratio.
And as funny as it sounds, B16 motors have been rapidly becoming an endangered species. Maybe the fact they sold for cheap back in the days and Honda hardly makes that motor anymore.
