Sure... they're hiring again, but last month, only 21,000 jobs were created nationwide.

3 million jobs lost = 3,000,000

21K jobs created = 21,000

3,000,000/21,000= 142.8 months (or 11.9 years) until all the jobs are recovered....

that's a LONG time to go...

where are you getting those numbers from? regardless, i don't think you read the article:
Americans looking for work this spring could find the strongest US job market in more than three years, even as companies remain reluctant to hire, a new survey shows.
The second-quarter results, when seasonally adjusted, are the strongest since the first quarter of 2001, soon after the economy officially entered a recession, according to Manpower, a Glendale, Wisconsin-based staffing company.
The U.S. has experienced slow employment growth even as the overall economy has grown at a healthy rate. Economists say increased productivity has allowed companies to do more with fewer people.

the 21K figure came from MSNBC, and I was wrong on the 3 mil... it's 2.4 mil

So that would be 114 months, or 9.5 years. Still... no recovery to go should about...

And I think this is pertinent:

So yes, it does grow at the end... if you look closely, you see it isn't sinking off the graph like it has been for the last 3 years...

neat graph.

by the way, i'm sure there's a lot more to forecasting the job market than (x * y = z)..
