What, they don't teach you the meaning of the word proselytize? Every single Christian or quasi-Christian evangelical group out there does it all the time.

Essentially it means to convert a person or group of people from one belief, doctrine, cause, or faith to another. Generally used within a religious context.

You're misunderstanding what it means to proselytize.

This thread, and your signature for that matter, is all a bunch of stuff which claims that what you believe in is correct. You're trying to prove it to the rest of us folks that don't necessarily believe the same thing as you.

If you want to have a debate you're going to need to do it with a topic other than religion because there are no stipulated truths when comparing different beliefs. Everyone has a set of things that they believe in which don't necessarily jive with whatever anyone else believes in.

With social issues, moral issues, whatever, you can at least make a logical arguent or toss in a couple facts to support your case. All this "evidence" you've been posting lately is neither of those things, unless it is being read by someone who shares the same belief system as you do.

Furthermore, the word "proof" in the topic title implies that you are going to make a persuasive argument. To persuade folks that what you believe in is correct, is to proselytize.

im not posting these things as/for 'evidence'...im posting them because they are interesting to me...

as for my sig, its to help the arrogance on the board get past the immature, uninformed, anti-mormon state of mind they are in... i dont care if they arent mormon, but being anti-mormon is just silly
