it looks weird and makes the board look squashed to the side!!? anyone else get annoyed by ti? i prefer it on the top.

Honestly, it doesn't bug me that much. However, I think some positioning fiddles are in order because margins and padding don't seem even across different windows.

Example: Look at the how the various bits o' forum line up on the normal window. Then click 'reply' and look how they line up in that window. Different.
