My father recently sold a woman a 1997 Civic HX which was just serviced under the extended emissions warranty(the one honda always tries to hide) Well the check engine light came on again, so we advised her to take it to the local Honda shop again, they tried to tell her the warranty was not going to be honored(gave no reason). My father called up a good friend at a larger dealership and had him call the technician who denied the warranty...ahaha...Chewed him out good. They ended up honoring the warranty....good thing too, the womans Catalytic converted was bad, and her EGR system was clogged, now Honda is replacing the Cat and cleaning the EGR system...

That wouldnt have been too cheap had that dealership not been forced to honor the warranty...

I dont blame Honda for the technicians attempt to deny the warranty, I blame that dang dealership....

Now she gets all that stuff free
