The position had to be reposted in order for me to be able to submit my app/resume. So next week when it gets pulled off of the internal site, the interviews will begin. I am supposedly a "shoe-in" but my department just has to follow the rules in the hiring process. The person that is doing the position temporarily until it's filled invited me out this morning to one of the sites where most of the equipment is managed from. I went there at 7am and he showed me a lot and where all of the equipment was, etc. So it's still looking very good. I'll keep you guys updated.

Thanks and yes I'll consider myself lucky when I get it! I'm not trying to keep my hopes up too high because I will get pissed if I get turned down. Hopefully all of these rumors are true that they are going with me.
