It is not illegal to purchase or posess Nazi memorabilia, at least from my knowledge of it. In fact it is highly sought after by many war memorabilia collectors.

I think the Ebay rule is because of it being such a highly questionable collectable and may be offensive to many to have it put in their face. So in order to avoid this and the flood of potential hate email through their site they ban it from sales.

It's legal I believe. Can't see why it wouldn't be legal to possess such items.

One of the catches to this is the intent in which it is sold.

If I were marketing it as though i were pro hate or a Nazi sympathizer then the US government and local authorities could come down on me under the "Hate laws". Using terminology in my ads or my sales that would directly align me that way would be part of it.

If however, a person were selling handles from the showers and ovens or anything along those lines it is deemed illegal. The weaponry, clothing, etc. from Nazi soldiers is very legal and highly sought after for sale or purchase and there is plenty of it that is for sale.

Sweet site! (Not cause I'm pro-Nazi) ...I just love antique military memorabilia. Especially Soviet stuff.
