oh sorry...it is the part bolted to the intake mani right below where the tb would be...I got a p30 (2nd gen) intake mani and there is no place to mount this thing on the new mani...coolant runs through it, I think it is a fast idle valve, but have no idea how to route around it on the new mani....

Looks like the lines that go into your Idle Air Control Valve...should be one going in and one returning to somewhere, not sure though.
