freaking unions. grocery checkers in the bay area make $20/hr and TRIPLE time on holidays.

most people pay for their freakin health behefits...now bag my groceries dammit!

thats what i did!! i was talking to the checker on new years day and commented on how i was sorry he was workin on the holiday. he laughed and told me how he didnt want to get drunk the night before anyway...and that he was making $60/hr to check my newcastles!! its rediculous.

that union is fugn bs. they make all unions look bad. everybody knows that the price of health care/insurance is rising at an exponential rate, and there has to be some sort of compromise between the company and its workers. most unions around here [teamsters] decided to keep the health benefits they already have, in exchange for smaller pay raises.

but..

what about corporate greed? the guys on top are still makin the big bucks

the blue collar joe schmos need to make a decent living wage! without the oppression of the big man comin down on them. threats of walmart and whatnot, who cares. bottom line is that there are people making money and it aint the baggers or the bologna slicers.

i made $6.80 an hour when i worked at Lucky's.
