You think the Integra is bad?

Check out a Volkswagen.

1) Remove Mud-Guard
2) Drain oil out of oil pan.
2) Remove Oil-Filter-Casing Drain Plug w/ a allen wrench.
3) Drain oil out of filter-casing.
4) Use 36mm socket to remove oil filter casing.
5) Replace Oil Filter and O-Ring.
6) Replace Oil Filter Casing Drain Plug
7) Replace Oil Filter Casing O-Ring.

And, the Oil Filter is way up in the worst spot imaginable. and it takes 6.5qts of oil!

In all reality man, I have more trouble with my mothers Honda Element filter than I ever had my Volkswagen or Integra.

The filter location on the Element is terrible. You have to reach up through the wheel well to get a good grip on it.

the filter is a lot easier to reach, being closer to the bottom of the block. the only PITA is removing the undercover (12-14 bolts total).

When I change oil on my Dad's B20 CRV it is a pain in the ass mostly because there is no real room to swing a rachet up there. I never have problems getting it off as much as I do turning it 10,000 times to get it off.

Honda oil filter locations suck compared to Toyota, or most of them.

Well, I'm not surprised that the K-series block design carries on the traditions founded by it's B-series predecessor. I'm kicking around the idea of buying an oil cooler / oil filter relocater when I get around to boosting... Hmm.
