There is very little or no evidence to support macroevolution. When the theory is truly examined, it sounds move farfetched and unbelievable than creationism.

for those of you who don't believe we are descendants of monkeys...get over it. we are. we share something like 98.6% of their DNA, plus we have the whole line starting from austrolepithicus to the modern day human (omg YES! that means we HAVE THE MISSING LINK! we've had it for, hmmm, 20 years now?)

thats all i'm saying right now.

Wow that was just beutiful. I completely agree how mistyfing the universe is. How can we grasp the concept of endless. There has to be an end and whats beyond that. On earth everything has a container but whats contains the universe.

MrFatbooty: I like your concept of how God tried to put it in lamens terms for the primitive ppl at the time being. It gives a huge argument to the evolution ppl.

On that note I believe in evolution. I think ppl around the world used religion to describe the unknown. There were different gods for wether paterns, life, death, love, and so on. I thnk thats why our society is becoming less religous. With all our technology, science, and spcae exploration the old religions don't answer our unknowns any more. We know why it rains and we know that we are not the center of the univers, not even our solar system.

Seems to me that evolution clears up a lot more things than religion does.

First off it ain't "my" concept, it's the modern Jewish way of reconciling the two theories. Further more, since the creation myth did in fact originate as the first Jewish scripture the intent is not to disprove creationism, but simply open it up to a less strict interpretation.

Oh that reminds me of a hilarious Chick tract. He argues that Genesis must be literal because plants were created on day 3 and the sun was created on day 4. Therefore, the plants would have died if the time periods were longer than a day. :lmfao:

Evidently he missed the whole "let there be light" part. :loco:

when will you people understand this? its a theory because we don't know everything about it. you see, evolution encompasses A LOT. so does space. so lets try for an allegory here.

we know that we live in a solar system, that is within a galaxy that holds thousands of other solar system. then there's the local group, then the virgo cluster, blah blah blah i'm getting off track. anyways, we have a pretty good concept of how each solar system is created, how a lot of things work, etc, but we just don't know everything, nor we probably ever will. two main reasons for this: the universe is enormous, and looking into its depths are incredibly difficult. also, these things happen so slowly over time that its almost impossible to prove. so they are educated guesses, albeit very good ones, so we call them theories.

evolution is very similar. we have a good portion of the puzzle, but there are pieces missing. a lot of the things we do know for a fact (compare to that the earth revolves around the sun, there's a big black hole in the middle of our galaxy, etc.) but some things we don't know or are impossible to prove definetly.

so, in essence, we know that evolution exists. we can see it in fossils, and even micro evolution within the past 100 years. macroevolution we have pretty good ideas about, but they are almost impossible to prove. this is why we call "evolution" a theory.

and if you still don't get it then you are just plain stupid.
