You get motivated to do something...start doing it then don't see the point in it after a while.

My GF has depression.

It really puts a strain on the relationship :-/

she just got put on some new medicine a month or two ago, but it hasn't been working. He old medicine, while not great, did a little.

she needs regular therapy sessions, but she doesn't schedule any. *sigh* She hates getting out of bed each morning.

 

i used to be a pretty bad MD (yeah, diagnosed and all that BS) I refused to do the therapy/drugs, and it went away after about a couple years (from when it was really bad). I'd like to say that I grew out of it, but really I just replaced it with a different disease (alcoholism)... now I'm trying to leave the both behind :happysad:

 

I know the feeling, there are days I wish there was a switch and the pictures would just change.

 

i'm the same way...i just havent gone to see a professional about it - to get tested and such.

But I know people with depression and it's hard to see it from their perspective sometimes.

 

I underwent therapy as a teen but quit because I realized I was just a number.

 

that reminds me it's time to rebuild my video server.
