ELK GROVE, Calif-- Students returned to Laguna Creek High School Wednesday, a day after two students from the school were arrested for allegedly plotting to kill classmates.


The decision on whether to attend on the day the alleged plot was to be carried out was a difficult one for many students and parents.

"I'm kind of on edge about what's happening because I didn't really know what was happening," student Ana Aguila said

"My daughter is really upset ... and I decided ... how do we know that other people that are involved that may show up?" parent Mary Hawkins said.

Attendance was down at the school, which was surrounded by police -- a show of force in an effort to ease parents' minds.

Investigators said two 15-year-old classmates were planning to use guns and bombs to kill students.

"The students had planned to burglarize a store, obtain weapons ... use those weapons to shoot students on the campus," Elk Grove Police Department Lt. Ed Kelly said.

In addition to the two students who were arrested, four others were suspended, and the superintendent said the threat is gone.

School officials and police are crediting a parent for coming forward with the tip they needed to thwart the plot.

Both students face two counts of conspiracy to commit murder and one count of attempted burglary.

Yeah right, 2 fat nerds were going to rob a store. The gun shop owner would have probably shot both of them dead on the spot and that would have ended that "plan."

the same thing is susposed to happen in my home town by houston, this little town called dickinson. must be all the stoners and gothic people who are still think they are in 8th grade crying out for attetion. The cops are getting crazy and said they would try to press terriost charges on the little 9th grades for writting bad letters.... stupid people

 

we just had a shooting at a local school. a Junior brought in a 12gauge shotgun took 3 shots first one a student ducked just in time not to get hit another shot hit a wall and then the vice princpal and a teacher attempted to subdue the student. The teacher was shot in the leg. The student planned on killing as many students as possible then turning the gun on himself according to the suicide note he left at his home
