This probably has to do with a Lotus dealer being down the street. While I was eating outside the cafe, there was a Gunmetal Ferrari 575 on a flatbed on its way to the local Ferrari dealer. Oh well.......gonna go upload a new engine program into my little econocar now. :rick:

 

that's the standard model.

lotus usa brought in 4-6 different euro models. once they heard complains about acceleration they brought in the special 165hp models with the track suspension option which is a lot closer to the US spec models.

whats the 165 one called and im wondering why they wouldnt have tested that one with the VX220 Turbo (which won) :thinking: vierd

all the top performing cars were tested in this like the challange stradale, m3, evo8, gt3, noble m12

offtopic: that vauxhall vx220 turbo is fawkin hot...

 

not sure why they didn't test the 111S btw the vx220 is also made by Lotus for gm.

 

There was an 160 hp version of the 1st gen Elise called the Sport 160. The 1st gen 111S had 143 hp. Now the 2nd gen 111 and 111s have 160 hp. There's also the 111R which has the same Toyota 2ZZ-GE motor as the US-spec model (and center-exit exhaust as well).

 

my bad. i screwed up on the hp 160 not 165.

it's the same company. opel in another country might be calle a vauxhall

 

ohh.. so whats the equiv of the vx220 turbo?? is there a speedster model with the same setup?
