I have Maya 4.5. I haven't really used it yet. I learned Alias Studio Tools and messed around in Rhino3D a little. That sht takes forEVER to do.

Yeah it's Maya 5.0 Unlimited. I upgraded from 4.5.

It takes a lot of patience, which I'm forced to have since I don't get out much anyway.

I wish I could sit down and do it. When I'm not at work I'm either with my gf, on HAN, or playing CS. :doh:

3DSMax is cool, but not very user friendly. It's render engine is awesome though. I've yet to try out Maya's Render Man, but I hear good things about it.

How hard would you say it is to learn? I do graphics all day long and I'm self-taught so I'm hoping this will come somewhat easy to me.

Maya is REALLY easy. If you've tried Max, it's just so much easier than that. Just gotta learn to think outside the box
