how do i install a new skin, i DLed one, and everything, but it says the file wont work or somethin??

 

Unzip it to your Winamp skin file in the program files once its there it should show up in your winamp skinz list.

 

did that, didnt show up. :dunno: any ideas?

 

make sure it's a skin for the version of winamp you have. some are not cross compatable.

I get mine direct from winamp.com and I just click on the link it has on the page and 10 seconds later my winamp skin is changed automatically. Are you getting it from the winamp.com site?

 

ok, it was the version, got that taken care of, now how do i hide icons on my desktop?
(yes im cleaning it up)

 

You can delete desktop shortcuts except system shortcuts (My Documents, Recycle and a couple others) but you can hide system shortcuts by right clicking on desktop going to properties and select what you do and don't want on it....they are still accesible through the start menu.
