I called insurrance and found out that getting a 240SX will be 400 more a year than my friggin Del Sol. Now my question is: since my parents won't let me get a 240SX, what should I get. I don't want another frigging FWD car. I want something that is RWD, handles well stock, is nice, 2-door preferably, and has the luxuries such as power windows/locks, sunroof, and cruise. It has to be something that is easy to get in a 5-speed. Screw gas mileage, screw everything else. I am just tired of driving my economy car posing as a sports car. I don't care about racing or the like. I just don't want a butt ugly car. I like the look of the sol but hate the understeer and FWDness. Help is much appreciated and all opinions accepted.

Not sure how much you have but a 318 would seem to be a nice fit, or maybe a Miata if you aren't interested in being heterosexual.

 

1st gen Miata = awsome car.

they always clean up at auto-x - even stock - just a bit underpowerd

second gen doesn't handle as well, but had more power

I agree. I actually like the Miata a lot. RWD is for driving people. You don't have to race to be a driving person smart guy. On the other hand, I'll probably Auto-X it a few times. The 318 is nice, but for power to weight it's very underpowered.

 

I love the Miata's! They're incredibly fun to drive!
