I have a ton of mp3's. Like more than 5. Anyway, a lot of them are lound... a lot of them are quiet... some are in the middle. I know the term is called normalize. I want to re-encode all my mp3's and normalize them. I understand that I'll probably loose some qualtiy... I'm not worried about that right now. I just don't want to go from a blazing loud song to a whisper.

Anyone have/know of a program that will batch (that's key, I'm not doing them one at a time) re-encode mp3's and normalize the volume?

more on cd's that I never bothered to restore to the system after a crash once.

 

Download a program called CDex. It allows you to export mp3 to wav and back again, and also can normalize the volume of tracks to preset levels.

or use itunes with normalized playback and when you wanna burn a CD make it normalized
