Default Newegg.com

I ordered something from newegg.com yesterday afternoon, and I just got the tracking number tonight. Didn't need it because I got the package this afternoon. :chuckles:

Newegg.com is the best. :goodjob:

Well, Will suggested this item from viewsonic that let's me watch tv and use my ps2 on my comp monitor. They didn't have it, or was sold out (I'm guessing it was an older model) so I got which I'm guessing is the newer version, the N5 Video processor. Good stuff. :goodjob:

When I worked for a computer store, we bought a lot of our parts from newegg.com... their general public retail prices were usually better than our from-wholesaler prices...

Does it make your games look as good/better as on the TV? I have been looking at VGA adapters to do this very same thing, but everyone says they're crap.

I have no problems with it. It's not the best it could be, but it doesn't detract from the game. I don't have a TV in my room and I wanted to be able to play my PS2... I guess you could say that it would be the same as if you were playing it on your TV.

Well, all you're doing is adapting the signal, not sending a true VGA signal... so it will never look as good as it should. But computer monitors tend to be brighter with better color reproduction, and they have a much more fine display mesh than TVs....

But what it comes down to is a case by case application...

If you wanna game though, get a direct VGA box like this one for the PS2:

http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?cat...ducts_id=2363&

That will give you MUCH better quality and sharpness, without the bleeding associated with composite->VGA converters

Though, I'm not sure if this adapter requires the Linux kit, or will work fine without...
