That is currently being mdded out doesn't mean I street race. So my buddy has a new girl who is supposedly into cars (I believe its a hunk of bs) and asked me if I'd race her decomissioned cop car Crown Vic. I asked if she knew when the drag strip would open, she was like "Why a drag strip." Besides how the hell is my little Accord gonna stand up to a V8 RWD Crown Vic. Geez people pick on someone your own size.

 

You probably wouldnt do so bad. . . When the track opens, Id race her if i were you. I wouldnt trust that she could handle doing it on the open streets.

 

When the tracks open I might go down. I highly doubt a 145 FWD 5 speed 3009 lb Accord would stand a chance against a 225 hp V8 RWD auto Crown Vic weighing 4057 lbs. Maybe I outta suggest an autox event, sure I have never entered one but I bet my little 4 banger can take an autox better than a Crown Vic.

 

Those things weigh soooo much. And I can imagine if it is a decommissioned cruiser, it has proably been beat to hell when "on duty." With good launch, it might be close.

 

It weighs 1000 lbs more has 80 more ponies. Being RWD it might take me, but then again there is the driver factor. Given by the number of stories I have heard of her spinning her car into a ditch I might stand a chance. Guess I gotta wait for the tracks to open.

And i figured there were some stories, which is why I wouldnt trust an open street race.

 

Um I am against street racing, and if this character wants to race on the streets then she can find someone else. Me I am heading to the strips and autox events once spring hits.

Cop cars are like 17 second cars. Not fast by any means.
