dude I'm sorry to say it but shit happens...don't look for someone else to blame because you fell due to ice. So you have to go to school/work due to ice. So do 100 million other people who have to be at work no matter what the conditions are.

Werd.

Grab a shovel, and shovel steps... dig your heels into the ice.... buy rock salt.... any of those will solve your problem. It seems like thats a house/apt... you should be responsible for clearing your own path.

For on school, buy ice shoes, or walk more cautious. I grew up in Western PA, nothing but snow/ice and hills. You're not gonna get any sympathy from me.

I agree it does suck you had school, but sometimes you gotta take care of yourself.

So u want to sue he school for falling down ur own hill!!!!! Tie a rope to ur hand rail and clime down it commando style. Are u trying to say that the school should have closed because of the extreme whether? U might have a point there, but thinking about sueing ur school is ridiculous!
Wait u say that it was some intersection so I guess u made it down from ur house ok.

I can't believe a person ur age would even think something like that up! If it was my grandmother than maybe i wouldn't be so mean.

Um no because one most businesses were closed because of the weather. Two all schools in the locality were closed until further notice because of the weather. Three the library and all other places that had students were closed and everyone sent packing around 9 when they realized the roads were getting dangerous, I didn't get that memo at 9. Four when I left I was the only one attempting to walk, where the f*ck was I supposed to go because I was the only one working.

Yes am I bitching, I will get over it but right now my back is killing me. God bless the makers of stop signs and concrete. I shall send them a thank you note tomorrow.

I believe in Adam Carollas 3 times for sueing rule. If you sue someone for bullshit more than 3 times in your life you get a bullet in your head for clogging up our legal system with your pussy lawsuits.

Hah... That poor old McDonalds coffee lady... Everytime the thought of a frivilous lawsuit comes to mind, that's probably the first case that people think of. Just to say though, there are some things people probably neglect to find out about that case. Yes she did spill the coffee on herself in a car but did you know that the burns she received required skin grafts and a seven-day hospital stay? Did you know that she initially tried to settle with McDonalds for far less (at least according to one article) but McDonalds refused? The question arises, did McDonalds really have to make their coffee that hot? I guess those are questions the jury decided on...and apparently they were swayed against McDonalds. Yeah, almost $3 million dollars seems crazy. The sky's the limit with punitive damages if I remember correctly. But sometimes you gotta make a point, I guess. McDonalds appealed anyway and she didn't get that much in the end.

Here are some articles about that case should anyone be interested: http://people.clemson.edu/~tg/McDonalds.pdf

Sorry to thread hijack axemansean. About your situation, it's good to know you're ok. Definitely let someone know your opinion about how you thought it was dangerous for the school to remain open when many other institutions felt it it was better to stay closed. Can you sue? Maybe. Would you win? Probably not. But I'm no lawyer, so don't take my advice. Be careful and take it easy over there.

:werd: People like you are the reason you pay $25K a year to go to school. I'm sure if everyone there chipped in $3 they could afford to hire someone to spread salt all damn day. Quit being such a pussy! Is this what America has come to? Bitch about every little inconvienence? :dunno:
