SR-71 Blackbird

(actually the RS-71, when being announced to the public, it was misread, just stuck with it)

Thats my det's... official plane

We're the Screaming Blackbirds.

First black SR-71 pilot to fly the blackbird came outta my det.

Its at a historically black school

the SR-71 was too much of a cash cow to continue funding once the cold war was over.

isn't nasa still flying the sr-71 or whatever non military designation it has now.

and yeah it did take a lot of money to run. i mean the freaking thing would leak (not burn) most of it's fuel during the taxi and take off :chuckles: and would need to be refueled after it was airborn
