This Sunday, Dr. Robert Pois, professor of History at the University of Colorado passed away. He was a well liked and well respected member of the faculty, and one of the world's premier historians of World War One.
As a student, as an educator, and as a historian, I feel a sense of loss, but hope his tradition of honest, thorough and meaningful historical analysis and education will continue.
I was supposed to be in one of his classes this semester, but due to health complications over the Christmas break, he decided to retire a semester early. Good planning on his part, I guess.
Anyway, just wanted to share... :happysad:
My deepest respect goes to this man.
