let me be your biographer
I have to do a biography of someone for a class of mine. Supposedly, I'm supposed to write about someone who has a significantly different cultural identity/life outlook than myself. Preferably someone of a different age-group (probably older since I'm only 22), different race, yadda yadda, you get it.
So let me tell you a little about myself so you know if you qualify:
-I'm 22.
-I'm a grad student at the University of Colorado (studying history and secondary education)
-I'm white
-I know everybody says theyre middle class, but I'm about as middle class as you can get (parents brought in probably 65k together anually)
-I'm financially independent (i.e. poor, I made under 8k last year)
-I don't adhere to a particular faith (I think I'm athiest, but the jury is still out), but my families (both mom & dads sides, but not my parents themselves) are/were Belgian/German Catholic.
-my parents are divorced
So if you think youre different from me in any major way (doesn't have to be every way), and you're willing to put up with a couple short interviews via PM or (preferably AIM). Let me know, and I'll prepare some questions. I'd like to say I'll reward you with some kind of fabulous prize, but I lack fabulous prizes, so it'll probably just be a "kindness of your heart" sorta thing.
Anyway, thanks in advance.

i suppose it should probably also be mentioned that, politically, I fall somewhere between 'liberal' and 'critical theorist' (somebody who thinks that major revisions in political, and to a lesser extent, social structure are needed)

as far as I can tell, your asian persuasion is the only real difference. I think its supposed to be more different than that. But thanks for offering. :thumbup:
