I am trying to hook my digital camcorder up to the computer right now and the usb driver disk will not install and the computer isnt recognizing the usb connection without the disk. what can i do to make the computer recognize it?

 

See if you can download the program from their site?

 

hmm, they have it on their site and i downloaded it, but i dont know where to go from there, because it doesnt seem like useful stuff.....

 

usb for a digicamcorder?? it doesnt have firewire/1394 connection on it?

what manufacturer is it btw?

 

its a samsung SCD23 and it does have a firewire connection, and i bought a cable, but my mom moved it and doesnt know where it is

 

The usb connection will be for Still Image Transfer.
You won't be able to use usb to transfer video....only firewire

 

You can use the USB for video transfer but it is a waste of time since it is horible resolution and dropped frame rate will be high.

If you have Firewire use that...buy another cable and do it that way...you will seriously be dissapointed with USB transfer.
