I take some of my wife's Motrin when I get neck cramps or sleep in a strange position. If it works for menstrual cramps, its gotta work for neck cramps- and it works great! You'll feel nothing after about 30 mins. Good stuff.

Arnica Gel. Get some, apply to affected area, repeat as needed. In concert with some Alleve, you should feel a lot better.

Boiron makes a whole line of homeopathic tinctures and gels and such. Any decent homeopathic / organic food store should be familiar with the brand.
