i recently purchased an anemone for my clownfish (nemo) but this other fish is claiming it to be his own instead. he became so terrotorial that he is just attacking all the other fish in the tank, causing injuries. i have to take him out before fish satrt to die.

See now your starting to make sense....how from your first post were we supposed to know first of all that it was a salt water tank? Then also that it was 45 gallons? then that it was going to harm the fish if you just did the obvious?

Learn to post a little information once in a while and we won't mess with you so hard and instead can get right to the point.

Because as you said a 45 gallon tank is handled differently than a 5 gallon tank....salt water fish are handled differently than freshwater fish....is this thing on? am I speaking here?

Suggestions change with knowledge of what the person is dealing with so more information is better than less information:doh:

Get a larger net......it may help.

Get the fish to a side of the tank with less obstacles and block him in with a simple slide panel and get him into a location and size of area where it is easy to just scoop him up. Using two pieces of large plates of plastic you can block him off and seperate him.

Yeah its a pain in the ass to get the pieces of plastic but it will help if you ever have to do something like this again.

I just syphon the smaller fish out. If that doesn't work (cause I have a 120 gallon tank). Take out the rocks/plants and use two nets.

If that doesn't work I used a piece of plexiglass that I can push the fish into the net with.

Leave the net in there untill they get comfortable to come back out, then snatch em.
