some of you might remember me posting about my ticket.
i sent a letter to the DA explaining the situation and requesting pardon but never got a reply. i did, however, get a court date change notice but this was postmarked before i sent my letter so it had nothing to do with that.
i haven't heard anything back from them so i called today to find out how much i had to pay. i told the secretary that "i sent a letter asking for pardon and never heard back so i was calling to get a total to pay." she put me on hold for a minute and came back and told me the DA dropped my "passing in a marked no passing zone" and moved my speeding down to a non-moving violation w/ a fine of $138.50.
thats about 120 less than i thought I would have to pay plus my insurance doesn't go up

Thats good for you! I just got screwed at court two days ago.
I got $100 for passing over a double yellow, and $150 for speeding. Those wer the reduced charges too, the speeding was $200 to start, and there was a riding an uninspected vechile in there too.
The worst part is that no officer saw any of these offenses, (except he inspection sticker), it was all hear-say. So now i have 2 moving violations on one ticket. ****ing sweet.
(BTW, this was on my gxsr600, that thing gets me into waaay too much trouble.)
