Default New Big Screen

Our house is buying a new big screen. We want to spend $1500. Want something widescreen and something that has HD built in or HD ready. Can anyone recommend or possibly hook up for a good deal?

DO NOT get a projection tv... those are just aweful looking. Quality from them is terrible.

projection TVs are good so long as you're not doing a lot of video gaming. And you have to be level, and not at any weird angle to watch it.

Ours is a Sony 46 inch projection TV. It's really good for movies. Especially with the component video, and Harmon/Kardon surround sound h:

We've got some like 6 year old 64 inch projection with Bose surround sound downstairs, and a 58 inch HDTV flatscreen upstairs. I personally prefer the HDTV one more...

we have a toshiba 51'' Digital HDTV projection tv... its nice IMO.....
