Default New records to spin! w00t!

Went mad and bought some tech house EPs:

DJ ESP "Grinder EP"
Midi4 "Voices in Africa"
The Floorfillerz "Locked Up"
"Seismic Sounds Sampler"
Big Al "The Fine Nelly" (B side ownz me)
John Skipper Trax "The Skippin"

Cost me $58 for all of them, so they're so bangin and spinnable...

Like... a mixed set? Heh... no and not for a while... I'm still a novice, and horribly limited by lack of decent turntables and my friends having a horrible, horrible mixer that doesn't que up the left and right headphone speakers to the left and right turntables respectively... which if fine if I don't mind occasionally messing up the mixes, but I'm not good enough to use it with complete confidence...

Maybe soon though? I can spin a good 45 minute set with only minor blurps, and that's only cause tech house can get really funky and difficult smoothly mix...

What decks/mixer set up do you have Epoch? How long have you been doing it??

It's definitely an expensive hobby......but it's worth it!

If anyone cares.....I just posted this mix of mine up on my server...it's more progressive trance sounding than what I normally spin (usually more filtered house), but it's one of the smoothest mixes I've done. Maybe leave me some feedback??
I haven't had many people listen to it yet.

Dec 6 -2003 Mix

Epoch.....you should still record a mix....it's a nice way to go back and listen to what your weaknesses are. I have a ton of recorded mixes....but not to give out...I usually just go back an listen to em for myself.

Personally? I don't own decks yet, but I'm saving up for some Technics sl1200mkII or better, and I would really like a Raine mixer...

I leech off my friends (in SC) 1200mkIIs, but they have the super shitty mixer... I practice on my friends super shitty belt driven numarks when I'm here in SB, but he has a decent mixer, so that's OK.

And that's some nice shit. A little to quick/peppy for my personal spinning taste (I either like things in the DnB quickness or tech house/electro downtempo usually), but you can get a good party jumping with that
