Default Wheels

Does anyone here know of a decent 17x7.5" wheel that weighs about 18lbs. or less, and isn't expensive?

Anyone know where I can find the Kosei K1s (not the expensive new ones from tirerack)...

The K1s are probably the only wheel that comes close. At least with the inexpensive part when compared to other wheels.

How much is it at tirerack? Last time I checked they were $199 each for my size and bolt pattern which is 17x8.5.

I'm pretty much looking for cheap *light* 17x7.5" rims, so I can use 225/45-17 Falken Azenis for autocross.

After going thru a few sets of these tires in the future, they would have payed for themselves, since I'm not burning up my more expensive 225/40-18 ES100s. I wouldn't have to worry about messing up my street tires, and I'll get mor grip on the track while saving money

Call up tirerack and ask for a quote for your car with the K1 not the K1 TS or the other junk!

They don't have the K1 listed for my car either but they can get them.

yep, they have them in 17x7.5" for $179 each. I just hope they come in 4 lug. :happysad:

Does anyone know of anything cheaper?

BTW, are there any other tires comparable to the Azenis? I would like to have a 225 wide tire on a 16" or 17" wheel (less sidewall). The Azenis don't come with a 225 wide tire in 16"...

which ones, the slipstreams? where'd you buy them? I can't seem to find a place online that sells Rotas, or the Kosei K1s...

17-18lbs sounds good. At least it's not 23lbs like some of the Velox wheels :chuckles:
