Default wireless internet problem

I'm having an issue w/ my wireless connection and I can't figure out what the problem is. I can copy a file from my step-father's pc over the wireless network to my 1 of my pc's and it goes at 150-350kBs, but my internet speed won't go above 35kBs???? what' going on? my step-father's pc wired to the wireless router gets 150kBs.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 111oneoneone!!11~~~

wireless b is the suxorz if you get to the outskirts of the router reach, I would recomend switching to a wireless g router with a wireless g card.

how far is the wireless pc located from the wireless routeR?

I've gotten over 300kb/sec on wireless at my uncles house which is b, and close to 500 on the wireless network at my school which is most of the time faster than the hardwired line cause that ones always congested
