good thing I always order minimally, ie one burger and a side salad. rarely do I order whole combos.

 

it just fills me up. but them im usually hungry 2 hrs later anyways

 

yea that's really all you need. a burger and a potato is about 400-500 calories. that's enough for a 110 pounder.

and I don't order sodas. i usually get ice tea or have my own bottled water. i think i'm really a minimalist at heart.

Eventhough it was food related, which I think is appropriate, my apologies for going slightly off topic.

Obesity is not a simple condition of being lazy and eating too much. It is a serious, chronic disease.

 

i think the fact that many american foods are cooked with butter and/or cheese doesnt help. that and too many processed fats.

 

Please do not make fun of obese people. No human condition — not race, religion, gender, ethnicity or disease state — compares to obesity in prevalence and prejudice, mortality and morbidity, sickness and stigma. They have feelings just like anyone else. Just because they aren't pleasing to your eyes doesn't mean they have to live their lives according to what society thinks is pretty or appropriate. If they want to wear revealing outfits that flaunts their bodies then more power to them. They should not live their lives in fear of being ridiculed.

 

I think a lot of it really has to do with eating habits and type of fod ratrn.

Astudy was done in various countries and it was shown that Americans consumed more high fat meals than any other country. Part of this is because of the pace of life we lead, always on the go and fast food is our friend.

Also a majority of Americans don't do labor intensive jobs like they used to either. Technology has made many of those jobs obsolete anymore.
