Default msd btm

if i get the drag gen2 kit for a 02 accord(f23a1). should i get the msd btm to be on the safe of boosting 7-9 psi. Of course i wont always have to retard the timing. Just when i need to. Plus a stronger spark might help. Im just not sure if i really need to spend money on that or something else.

GEN 2 kit has fuel pump and fmu system

The Drag solution of adding an external fuel pump and an FMU is not very elegant. It's a better idea to get a new Walbro (a.k.a. Holley) in-tank pump and replace the injectors with higher flow-rate ones and use an A'PEXi S-AFC or V-AFC to tune them.

The BTM is not a bad idea but if you get the fuel reasonably dialed in then it becomes less necessary.

Actually after doing three types of fuel management, including the ones you listed I wouldn't recommend the AFC hack at all. He's better off with a pump/fpr combo until he decides to get a standalone management system...which is by far the best option.

The AFC hack can address and trim the fuel maps accordingly, however the igntion timing will not be altered and the common problem is dangerous ignition advance on a high load/rpm map point.

im plannining on running 7-9 psi. Would it best to just get the drag kit with everything(pump and fmu) or build my own kit with standalone managment? would the standalone even be needed for 7-9 psi?
