This is the first time I have ver burnt out a hard drive

Old 10 gig that came in an EMachine I use...I guess it was bound to happen after 5 years but it did better than I thought

 

did you get the clicks of death? or the scent of smoke?

repeating fatal exception and twice the no hard drive found....luckily no burn though.

 

ouch ... did you have anything important on there? i hate it when my hard drive craps out or i crash with pictures what not on my computer.

 

Yeah I had a lot of stuff on there (mostly programs) I figure its not so bad really though.

I had just gotten done reformatting too just to see if it had gotten too full but it didn't help at all....it had been running near full on the C drive for about 5 months or so.

Actually I needed to ditch most of the programs anyways because I rarely used them...the thing thats gonna suck is reformatting 160 gigs off my second drive.

Besides a little creative searching on Kazaa and all the programs will be back in about a weekh:
