People "go for" whatever. That's just talk. Honestly who cares how people represent themselves and their cars? If that's how they get their jollies and they aren't hurting you then you may point out their stupidity, or more productively don't point out their stupidity and just tell yourself that you are smarter than them. Then them modding their car and talking a bunch of bullshit about it will have the double effect of not only making them feel better about themselves but also allow you to develop a healthy superiority complex.

I don't have a problem with what people say about their car, I have a problem when people do certain things to their car. :chuckles:
