Let's say 10 years ago.. i taped each episode of a TV series...

Now, they havent aired the show in years... and there is a demand for them.... and i make copies of those tapes that i taped and sell them on ebay.. since people are willing to pay $100 for the series. Is this legal or illegal?

then why and how to people do it all the time on ebay? And never get caught? The same people have mutiple auctions daily.. for the same thing.

 

Well, the production companies probably aren't as anal as the RIAA and don't think it's worth the legal costs to chase down a few people.

I was just wondering if i paid the $150 to buy the series i want... if i could watch it... then re sell it on ebay for what i bought it for.... so i basically could watch it free.

Anytime there's question of if something is legal or illegal... I always take the approach that, just in case it IS illegal... try to keep it on a small scale.
