i was thinking the same, like clutch in manual tranny cars. :dunno:

supposedly the one in the audi A4 is super strong. it's the only one that is used with a 3.0L V6

I think that one in the pictures that RB posted are just a proof of concept type setup, not actually a production setup.

Well, unlike a timing belt/chain, the CVT belt/chain can be lubricated constantly. :dunno:

The Nissan Murano has a CVT. So yes, only Audi puts a CVT on a 3.0 liter V6 but Nissan puts one on a 3.5 liter V6.

it does?

CVT is probably best used on a truck SUV IMHO.
