H.I.D Question.
My buddy has a 2003 Dodge Durango, and like $500.00. He wants to get a set of H.I.D's for it but we have noclue what to get,and the best place to get them.
I know they have like 6000k and 9000k but we dont really know what that means. Any help would be greatly appreacited.

4300k HIDs are oem for all HID's that are factory equipped. Any higher than that you'll start to lose visability (over 4300k). 6000k will give you a decent blue but still good visability, and 9000k, well, you might as well just buy silverstars.

so if he got a set of 4300k, it would look like what Audi's and Mercedes have?
whats a good brand to get?
where should he get it from?
Does he have to change the whole headlight(s)?
Thanks resident porkchop!

I don't think that you have to change the headlights. It's just like switching the bulbs. I know installation is a little more involved than that, but in terms of headlight housing, nothing has to be modified. Check out the sponsor's corner. There is a guy that is having a groupbuy on HID's.

Your friend does not need to change the whole headlight housing, just stick in the kit. His housing wasn't made for HID's so they will glare and blind the f*ck out of everyone, but hey he needs his HID's I guess.

whats the bulb size on a durango? For 500 bucks to spend on headlights alone, he can probably get a mean kit. Do a google search and go from there.
